Issued as a World Money Fair Berlin show special, this 2026 Australian Kookaburra coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver by The Perth Mint. It was released at the World Money Fair in Berlin on 29 January 2026.

The reverse features a coloured depiction of a kookaburra in flight over a river landscape. Trees and rugged rock formations frame the scene. The design includes a double Ampelmännchen privy mark in red and green, referencing the iconic traffic light figures created in East Germany during the 1960s. The inscription “KOOKABURRA” appears alongside The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark, the coin’s weight, purity and the 2026 year-date. The reverse was designed by Wade Robinson.

The obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, together with the coin’s monetary denomination of 1 Australian dollar.

This coin is housed in a special World Money Fair presentation card displaying the official show logo and dates. The card includes a fold-out stand for upright display.

The maximum mintage is limited to 3,000 coins worldwide.
